Our story
Prime Resolution was founded by a group of practising mediators who wanted to build something different: a mediation organisation led by the people who actually do the work.
Our directors have backgrounds in family law, education, employment, and commercial dispute resolution. They came together because they shared a conviction that mediation, done well, is genuinely transformative, and that most people never get access to it.
We operate across three practice areas (family, SEND, and workplace) with specialists in each. We train, supervise, and practise together.
What we believe
Mediation works. The evidence is clear, and our outcomes bear it out. When parties come to mediation with a genuine commitment to resolution, the results are better, faster, and more durable than litigation or formal processes.
Impartiality is not neutrality. A good mediator creates the conditions for honest conversation. They do not take sides, but they are not passive.
Supervision is not optional. Every Prime Resolution practitioner attends regular professional supervision. This is not common in the mediation sector. We think it should be.
Our social mission
We are a not-for-profit. Every penny of surplus goes back into keeping fees accessible and supporting our training programme.
We offer subsidised places for family mediation and work with legal aid providers. SEND mediation is free to families by statute, and we make sure families know that.
We believe mediation should be available to everyone who needs it, not only those who can afford it.
