Prime Resolution

Mediator Supervision and PPC

Professional supervision for practising mediators. Individual sessions, group supervision, and Practice Consultant Co-ordination, led by experienced practitioners who are supervised themselves.

Mediator Supervision and PPC

Why supervision matters

Supervision is not bureaucratic compliance. It is a structural safeguard for practitioners who work in high-stakes, emotionally demanding situations.

Mediation asks a great deal of the mediator. You hold confidential information from both sides. You manage strong emotion in the room. You make real-time judgements about process and risk. Without a space to reflect on that work, mistakes accumulate and standards drift.

Regular supervision keeps practitioners honest, supported, and accountable. It is also a mark of professional seriousness.

Good to know

At Prime Resolution, supervision is not optional. All our mediators attend it, and our supervisors are supervised themselves.

What we offer

Individual supervision. One-to-one sessions with an experienced supervisor. Suitable for mediators at any stage of practice who want a private space to reflect on their work.

Group supervision. Small group sessions (usually four to six practitioners) facilitated by a supervisor. Peer reflection adds a dimension that individual supervision cannot replicate.

Practice Consultant Co-ordination (PPC). For family mediators working towards or maintaining FMC accreditation. We provide the PPC function required by the FMC standards framework, including case review and sign-off.

Ongoing supervision arrangements. For organisations and practices that want to embed supervision into their work. We can design a programme that fits your context.

Who it is for

Our supervision service is for:

  • Qualified mediators in active practice who want regular reflective support
  • Mediators working towards or maintaining FMC accreditation who require PPC
  • Mediation organisations that want to establish or improve their supervision arrangements
  • Experienced mediators returning to practice after a gap

We work with mediators across all practice areas: family, SEND, workplace, and commercial.

Our approach

We believe supervision should be an honest space: not a performance review, and not a comfort exercise.

Our supervisors are experienced practitioners who bring direct knowledge of what mediation demands. They ask useful questions, challenge gently, and take the work seriously.

Cost

Supervision is charged per session or as part of an ongoing arrangement. Rates vary depending on the format and frequency.

Contact us to discuss what would work for your situation. We aim to be straightforward about fees.

Not sure which format fits?

Tell us about your practice and what you are looking for (individual, group, or PPC) and we will suggest an arrangement that fits.

Enquire about supervision

Part of a coherent whole

Supervision at Prime Resolution is not a bolt-on service. It is part of how we operate.

Our mediators, trainers, and supervisors all work within the same supervision structure. When you engage us for supervision, you are drawing on that experience directly.

We offer supervision externally because we believe the sector needs more of it, and because we want to make what we do available to practitioners beyond our own team.
